Ensenada
BEST PLACES TO HANG OUT
CENTRO CULTURAL RIVIERA
The most emblematic place in Ensenada, the Hotel – Casino, now the Riviera Cultural Center, was built in 1928-1930 based on Californian-style architecture, beautiful ceilings, stained glass windows, chandeliers, Spanish lanterns and furniture brought from everywhere.
The luxurious Hotel – Casino was visited by North Americans fleeing from the dry law. In 1948 the popular margarita drink was invented at the Riviera Hotel at the request of Marjorie King Plant.
PLAZA CIVICA Y MALECON
A walk along the boardwalk and reaching the plaza civica is essential when visiting Ensenada.
You can find food, handicrafts and see sea lions resting on the piers, it is a very crowded place for Ensenadenses and tourists.
There are important cultural and recreational events that you can enjoy outdoors with your whole family.
LA BUFADORA
You’ll find La Bufadora at 35 kilometers south of Ensenada, the 2nd biggest marine geyser in the world; This natural attraction is one of the most important spots in the region.
The experience is quite attractive, on the road near the Pacific coast you can admire the natural beauty and amazing views. Once you’re there you’ll find crafts, food and other cool experiences, you can even enjoy La Bufadora on a kayak from the ocean.
CANTINA HUSSONGS
Legendary expat bar where literary greats shared ideas over drinks – now it’s a place where you can have a drink and buy a tourist t-shirt to commemorate your trip.
A classic from the port of Ensenada with more than a hundred years, you have to know it and enjoy norteña music, mariachi.
